Project Overview
Datça Wind Farm, located in the center of Datça district in Muğla, is positioned in an area surrounded by the natural beauty of the Datça Peninsula, where strong and consistent winds from the sea are prevalent. The plant benefits from the wind channels created by the narrow geography of the peninsula, which allows for high energy production capacity. To ensure easy access to energy and minimize environmental impact, the plant is situated near the residential areas in the center of Datça.
Energy Output
Datça Wind Farm has an installed capacity of 12.5 MWh With this capacity, the plant meets the electricity consumption needs of approximately 17,000 families in Muğla.
Environmental Impact
Thanks to the Datça Wind Farm, the world saves 108.7 million litres of water annually. Additionally, the plant eliminates 37,500 tons of carbon emissions each year, which would otherwise be produced by fossil fuel-based power plants.
Turbines
Datça Wind Farm consists of 5 Siemens Gamesa G114 2.5 MW wind turbines.
