Karakurt Wind Power Plant

Karakurt Wind Power Plant

Project Overview
Karakurt Wind Farm, located 20 kilometres north of Akhisar district in Manisa, is situated in a high wind potential area of the Aegean Region, characterized by a generally rugged terrain. Surrounded by agricultural lands and natural vegetation, this location offers the ideal height and openness for the efficient operation of wind turbines.

Energy Output
Karakurt Wind Farm has an installed capacity of 22.8 MWh. With this capacity, the plant meets the electricity consumption needs of approximately 19,000 households.

Environmental Impact
Thanks to the Karakurt Wind Farm, the world saves 115.2 million litres of water annually. Additionally, the plant eliminates 40,000 tons of carbon emissions each year, which would otherwise be produced by fossil fuel-based power plants.

Turbines
Karakurt Wind Farm Consists of 6 Vestas V90 2.0 and 3 Vestas V136 3.6 MW wind turbines.
