Project Overview
Sebenoba Wind Farm, located 5 kilometers southeast of Samandağ district in Hatay, is situated in an area where Mediterranean coastal winds are effectively captured, with a blend of mountainous and open lands. This location, near the foothills of the Amanos Mountains, experiences continuous and strong wind currents that allow the wind turbines to operate at high efficiency. Surrounded by agricultural lands, olive groves, and scrub vegetation, the plant is positioned away from residential areas, minimizing environmental and social impacts.
Energy Output
Sebenoba Wind Farm has an installed capacity of 60 MWh With this capacity, the plant meets the electricity consumption needs of approximately 53,000 households in Hatay.
Environmental Impact
Thanks to the Sebenoba Wind Farm, the world saves 330 million litres of water annually. Additionally, the plant eliminates 114,000 tons of carbon emissions each year, which would otherwise be produced by fossil fuel-based power plants.
Turbines
Sebenoba Wind Farm consists of 18 Vestas V80 2.0 MW and 7 Vestas V112 3.0 MW wind turbines.
