Şamlı Wind Power Plant

Şamlı Rüzgar Enerji Santrali

Project Overview
Şamlı Wind Farm is located approximately 15 kilometers from the center of Balıkesir’s Manyas district, in a predominantly rural and forested area. The region's open spaces and high altitudes make it an ideal geography for wind energy production. The plant is positioned harmoniously with the natural environment, contributing to the region's energy production. Additionally, its proximity supports the economic and environmental sustainability goals of the Manyas district.

Energy Output
Şamlı Wind Farm has an installed capacity of 128.6 MWh. With this capacity, the plant meets the electricity consumption needs of approximately 117,000 families in Balıkesir.

Environmental Impact
Thanks to the Şamlı Wind Farm, the world saves 740.16 million litres of water annually. Additionally, the plant eliminates 255,000 tons of carbon emissions each year, which would otherwise be produced by fossil fuel-based power plants.

Turbines
Şamlı Wind farm consists of 30 Vestas V90 3.0 MW, 13 Vestas V90 2.0 MW and 4 Vestas V136 3.6 MW wind turbines.
